PLUSHENKO'S STAR SHINES AT THE GOLDEN SKATE AWARDS

His name has not been announced yet but all the people inside the Datch Forum are already blatantly clapping, in a wave of enthusiasm that joins the ten thousands present in one single voice.

“The most awarded athlete of the XXI century”, as Alessandro de Leonardis significantly defined Plushenko Saturday night, enters in the ice rink with the usual certainty, a strength that comes from his incredible technical and artistic skills and from the love he has for his public.

As always, Evgeni does not save himself and donates to the Forum an intense, full of pathos, “Caruso”, with a breathtaking step sequence which underlines the crescendo of the music. Few artists are able to be such great interpreter of every single musical aspects, as Evgeni: the public feels this uniqueness and replies with demonstrations of deep affection.

The second exhibition, which ends the show, is for sure a nice surprise for everybody, because it is performed in Italy for the first time. The name of the program, “Soldiers”, announces a performance full of energy and determination, interpreted with great conviction by Evgeni. The homage that the public gives to him – a real ovation – expresses the love that the Italian public has for this athlete, who is always able of surprising for his primacy.
Despite the recent surgery for his meniscus,  in fact, Plushenko still matches up with his fame, with strong triple jumps, perfectly landed, a magnificent combination of spinnings, and, above all, with his step sequences – intense, inimitable – that became his trademark.

Evgeni Plushenko indeed honoured his title of incumbent Olympic Champion, with two wonderful, enjoyable, performances.
